Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has restated his administration’s commitment to rebuild the Benin Technical College for the training of skilled technical manpower and job creation. He said the resolve to turn the college around was to fulfill his campaign promise of industrial revolution in the state.
Obaseki said this in Benin when he led his deputy, Philip Shuaibu, Secretary to the State Government, Barr. Osarodion Ogie and the Chief of Staff, Taiwo Akerele, for an on-the-spot assessment of the condition of the college and its facilities.
“Look at what we have, it’s unacceptable. We will take very drastic measures in the next few weeks. We have to rebuild this institution and bring it up so that it becomes the basis for training technical manpower that we need to drive our industrial revolution,” he said
