Whether they re-discovered their groove from the said piece or not, what they have done is noble and worthy of emulation. IBB is especially to be commended for not allowing the media frictions between him and Obasanjo to destroy the higher goal of national interest. It is a mark of nobility for one to accept personal indignities for the sake of communal or national cause.

The late Zik of Africa was adept at this. Other retired military officers should come together as Association of Retired Artillery Officers/Armoured Officers/Military Governors/GOCs, etc and make their voices be heard on the state of the nation.

Now that they have spoken, it is left for the powers that be to listen to them. Moreover, both are PDP members. If they dismiss our complaints as the perpetual ranting of ordinary Nigerians, they would at least agree that the retired military duo are not motivated by hunger or fronting opposition. A word is enough for the wise.
