OBJ begins meeting with APC leaders in Abeokuta

After about seven hour delay, the much publicised meeting by leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo at his home in Abeokuta, Ogun state. The meeting started at about 5.55pm. The delay, our correspondent gathered was attributed the late arrival former head of state, Gen. MUHAMMED Buhari and Rivers state governor, Rotimi Amaechi.
Those at the meeting which is meant to persuade Obasanjo to join the party include, the APC Interim national chairman, Bisi Akande, national leader, Bola Tinubu, Nasir El-rufai, Lai Muhammed, former Speaker, Aminu Maisari and former deputy governorship candidate under PDP in Ogun state, Tunde Oladujoye.
They also include the governors of Kano, Adamawa, Kwara, Oyo, Imo and the host governor, Ibikunle Amosun. They are expected to brief the media after the meeting.
