OBJ, Buhari, IBB, Abdulsalam, Atiku, Mark absent at centenary summit

Former Heads of State Olusegun Obasanjo, Generals Muhammadu Buhari and Abubakar Abdulsalam were conspicuously absent at the international conference on security held in Abuja today.

 

The conference, themed “Hum, Security, Peace and Development: Agenda for 21st Century Africa” was part of the activities marking the Nigeria’s centenary celebration.

 

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and Senate President David Mark were also absent at the conference.

 

The only past leaders in attendance were President Shehu Shagari, former Head of State Yakubu Gowon and former Head of Interim National Government Chief Earnest Shonekan, former Vice President Alex Ekwueme and former Chief of Staff General Oladipupo Diya.

 

Speaker of the House of Representatives Aminu Tambuwal and his deputy, Emeka Ihedioha were also in attendance; while Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu and Senate Leader Victor Ndoma-Egba were also absent.
