Paramount ruler of Idoma nation, Och’Idoma, Dr. Elias Ikoyi Obekpa, on Tuesday pledged his support for the fight against crime in Benue State.

Obekpa made the pledge in his palace in Otukpo when the State Commissioner of Police, CP Audu Madaki, paid him a familiarisation visit.

The royal father commended the efforts of the police in fighting criminality in his domain just as he assured of his kingdom’s continued support to rid the area of crime.

Obekpa further prayed God for the success of the command as they carry out their legitimate duties.

Madaki solicited the cooperation of the Idoma traditional council to support the police in the fight against crimes.
