Asides the release of the trailer marking Nigeria’s independence, the trailer also was a birthday gift from Kunle to himself. He tweeted last week “It’s my birthday on   September  30, and the gift I’m giving myself is the first Official trailer of the highly expected film October 1st movie which will release on of October 1, 2013.”
The award winning producer, director and actor also said he is obsessed with filmmaking and sought the advice of fans when he posted on his Facebook page “My Obsession with filmmaking makes me think I may not live long. I forbid it though. I got back to Lagos yester night very tired and sleepy after 42days of shoot, got home ate then went to bed. All I see throughout my sleep are the shots I took and those that I felt I should have done differently. Woke up this morning and all I have in my head is the deadline of the Trailer release which in October 1 2013, in about 11 days and the completion of the whole project. Yes, am very passionate about film making but I think being too obsessed is not healthy. What do you guys think?”
Speaking to Weekend Magazine, Afolayan said “the movie was as challenging as it could be. But I was glad I had the best hands on deck for this project. There were days we had just three hours of sleep in four days of shoot. The Nigerian and British actors were superb. Experience was different from my past films, more challenging, very demanding and it’s like 4 times the budget of my last film. But I learnt more like never before. It is a movie everyone will learn something from. I was moved to tears many times on set when I reflect on the reality on ground in our society.”
For the British actors this was their first time is Africa for most of them but they were delighted in the end. It was a different perception from what they had always heard or been told. For this movie to have been achieved I give glory to God who has always been my backbone in everything I do. I will also give thanks and credit to Lagos state governor, Toyota Nigeria, sovereign trust insurance Deola Sagoe and Sadiq Daba. Also, the entire dedicated cast and crew. They gave their best and if I had a chance to work with them again I will over and over” he said
“This movie is a revolution in African cinema especially in Nigeria and together we can top the world” he said.
