Otunba Tunwase National Paediatric Centre, Ijebu Ode,Ogun State (OTNPC) in collaboration with First City Monument Bank (FCMB) and Tulsi Chanrai Foundation, Yola, organised a free eye screening exercise for primary school pupils in Odogbolu Local Government Area  of  Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State.

This is the third free eye screening and examination for primary school children in Odogbolu Local Government  Area,  Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, organised by Tulsi this year.

The eye screening tagged ‘Priceless Gift’ was a gift to Nigerian children in commemoration of the 2010 national children’s day, organisers say. The schools that benefited were Holy Flock Nursery and Primary School, St. John  Basic School, St. Peters Anglican School, Idowa, St. Peters Primary School, CAC Primary School, St. Paus Anglican School, Moslem Basic School, Local Government Model School and St. Thomas Catholic School, among others.

The Provost of the Centre, Professor Adenike Grange, who was represented by the Director General of the Centre, Mr Oswald Shodeinde, said that, “the Centre is an International Centre of Excellence, for Teaching, Research, and Health Care for children with a total commitment to the best in all activities related to the survival of infants and children. The eye screening exercise is part of the Founder’s philanthropic gesture to children in primary schools,” he said.
