The National Association of Odùduwà Students (NAOS) has congratulated High Chief Habeeb Olalekan Okunola, the Akosin of Yorubaland, on receiving a Certificate of Recognition from the City of Brampton in Canada, alongside the Community Builder 2025 Award.

In a statement signed by its president, Comrade Olalere Benedict Adetunji, the association said the honours reflect Chief Okunola’s contributions to cultural exchange, international relations, and community development.

According to NAOS, the Certificate of Recognition presented by the Mayor of Brampton highlights Okunola’s role in promoting goodwill, economic cooperation, and cross-cultural understanding between Nigeria and the international community.

The Community Builder Award, the association added, acknowledges his support for social and development initiatives and his efforts toward improving the lives of people within and outside Nigeria.

The statement described the Akosin of Yorubaland as an influential community leader whose initiatives continue to inspire young people across the Yoruba region and the diaspora.

NAOS encouraged other leaders to emulate the chief’s commitment to service and development and expressed its good wishes for his continued success.

Okunola, a recipient of national honours including the MON and OFR, has been recognised on several occasions for his philanthropic and cultural engagements, the group noted.
