The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has said that Police operatives arrested twelve additional suspects in connection with the Offa Banks Robbery of 5th April, 2018.

The spokesman of the Police, ACP Jimoh Moshood in a statement on Friday said the Police teams engaged in massive raids of identified criminal spots/flashpoints, stop and search operations, visibility and confidence building patrols, intelligence gathering which led to the arrest of the suspects.

He said some of the arrest also involved serious exchange of gun fire between the Police and the suspects in their various hideouts.

He said the suspects include:  Adegoke Shogo arrested in Offa;  Kayode Opadokun arrested in Offa; Kazeem Abdulrasheed arrested in Offa; Azeez Abdullahi arrested in Offa; Alexander Reuben arrested in Lagos;  Jimoh Isa arrested in Lagos; Azeez Salawudeen arrested in Offa and Adewale Popoola  arrested in Offa. 

Others are: Adetoyese Muftau arrested in Ibadan, Oyo State; Aminu Ibrahim arrested in Ilorin; Richard Buba Terry arrested in Ilorin and Peter Jaba Kuunfa arrested in Ilorin.

He added that all the suspects arrested have admitted to the various criminal roles they played in the banks robbery attacks and are also assisting Police investigation into the incident.

He also said the police recovered from three of the suspects another Beretta pistol and 14 rounds of live ammunitions in connection with the Offa bank robbery.
