Ogboro urged the in-coming management committee to build on that achievement that has put Kaduna polo firmly on the global map, and repositioned the club as one of the best polo clubs in Africa.
The NPF boss hailed Kaduna for hosting the secretariat, urged all elected officers of the club to rededicate themselves to the continued progress of the club and carry everybody along in their drive to promote polo in the country.
He urged all members to give the new management team their fullest support as they lead the club and the game of polo on to new heights.
Two of Kaduna’s based polo emperors, Alhaji Suleiman Abubakar and Alhaji Mohammed Kyari, have been assigned the challenging role of returning Kaduna Polo Club to its past glories and to restore the club to its prime position as one of the Africa’s best polo centers.
The duo who are returning to the administrative duties after a brief retirement, were handed the mandate at the recently held AGM meeting where the election took place in Kaduna.
Abubakar who was previously both a polo captain and First Vice President, was voted the new First Vice President, while Mohammed Kyari who has operated in various capacities from General Secretary and Tournament Manager, is now the new Polo Captain.
Kyari who is the Secretary General of the national polo ruling authority, the Nigerian Polo Federation (NPF) took over from Ali Hassan who has served in that capacity for two consecutive terms, while Abubakar moved into the hot seat vacated by El Amin Polo team owner, Mohammed Babangida .
