Hon Akpososo Oghenekaro and his team have issued a strong appeal to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State, urging him to prioritize the improvement of security in the state.

The call was made against the backdrop of the increasing insecurity that has left citizens living in fear and uncertainty, Abraka as a case study.

In a statement signed by Akpososo Oghenekaro(Mimikay), the director general emphasized that “all work without security amounts to nothing.”

The group noted that without a safe and secure environment, investments will flee, businesses will struggle,and citizens will continue to suffer.

“We urge Governor Sheriff to take immediate and decisive action to address the security challenges in Delta State,” the special police outfit formed by the governor with code name operation sweep should be called to step up their game in securing our dear state which the governor has invested massively on statement read.

Akpososo also stated on behalf of his team that increasing police presence, equipping security agencies, and working with traditional leaders and community stakeholders to identify and address the root causes of insecurity.”

Akpososo express confidence in Governor Sheriff administration to deliver the dividend of democracy to its citizens, he noted that with a robust security strategy, Delta State can be transformed into a safe haven for residents and investors alike.

He called on the governor to make security a top priority and to work tirelessly to ensure that citizens can live and work without fear of violence or harassment.
