The community dwellers are now calling on the present administration of Dr Olusegun Mimiko to come to their aid by rehabilitating the major road that leads to the community.
Speaking on behalf of the community with Oodua Trust on Thursday, the community leader, Chief Isaac Temikotan, said the deplorable condition of the road has made life unbearable for the inhabitants of the community.
Temikotan who described the efforts of the Ondo West Local Government under the leadership of Otunba Ade Adeniyi, as a welcome development by grading the road at the beginning of this season, stressed that immediately the rains started a few months ago the road has gone back to its former condition.
He however called on the Ondo State Government to assist the council in rehabilitating the only road that leads to the community.
He said, “no-government officials wants to stay in this type of environment where there are no good roads and other amenities that can make life bearable for the people. Immediately they are posted to the community, they will be tired of lack of basic amenities thereby working their transfer back to the town.”
One of the residents of the ancient community who spoke with Oodua Trust, Mr Andrew Oyile, said Ogbo community has been abandoned in terms of development and other basic amenities for over 30 years, calling on government at all levels to come to the aid of the community by rehabilitating the only road that leads to the community.
