Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, has told indigenes and residents that much work still lies ahead as the state marks the 48th anniversary of its creation.
Ogun was created on February 3, 1976, by the late General Murtala Mohammed.
Abiodun in a statement on Saturday noted that despite challenges in the state, successive administrations have witnessed tremendous development.
Applauding the achievements of his predecessors, he encouraged the people of the state to maintain their unity to further the interests of the state.

“Since its creation on this day in 1976, Ogun State has witnessed tremendous growth and development in various sectors. We have become a thriving hub of industry, education, and culture, creating immense pride in our hearts,” he said.
