Ogun State House of Assembly has passed a resolution calling on the state government to prevail on security agencies to ensure the deployment of armed security personnel to Agosasa community in Ipokia LGA of the state to restore peace and orderliness.
The resolution followed a motion moved by the Majority Leader, Yusuf Sheriff, seconded by the member representing Ipokia/Idiroko State Constituency, Hon. Adebisi Oyedele shortly after he reported the recent civil unrest at Agosasa.
Oyedele said that he was deeply concerned about the recent chaos and unrest that had plagued Agosasa community, leading to escalating violence and instability threatening the safety and well-being of the residents.
He reported that the conflict was as a result of the installation and coronation of the Oba of Agosasa which was opposed by some groups.
