Ogun State House of Assembly
The Ogun State House of Assembly has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the leadership of truck owners as part of moves to curb incessant accidents in the state.
The MoU, spearheaded by the House Committee on Transportation, is meant to checkmate the incessant road crashes that often lead to loss of lives and property.
It was agreed that only two trips per truck daily would henceforth be allowed anywhere in the state regardless of the type of vehicle, with a restriction on the movement of tippers and lorries at night.
The MoU imposed a fine of N20,000 on defaulters or outright offloading of affected trucks.
