The Ogun State government said it has commenced construction and reconstruction of over 46 roads across the three senatorial districts in Ogun State.
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Works and Infrastructure, Engr. Babatunde Adesina, who disclosed this in Abeokuta, said some will be completed before the end of this year.
Adesina, who stated that Prince Dapo Abiodun-led administration placed priority on road infrastructure, reiterated the government’s commitment to delivering on its electioneering promises.
“Heavy rain in the last three months has slowed down the pace of work on sites and delayed completion of work, but efforts are on to ensure completion now that the rain is subsiding”.
Some of the roads under construction include the Abeokuta-Sagamu, Panseke-Adigbe, Kemta- Somorin in Ogun Central, Atan-Lusada- Agbara, Ilaro- Owode, Oke Ola Road, Imeko, in Ogun West, as well as Oba Erinwole Road Sagamu, Ijebu- Ode-Atan Road, Molusi College Road, Ijebu Igbo in Ogun East Senatorial District.
