Ogun couple arrested for killing 45-year-old man 

Operatives of the Ogun Police Command have arrested a couple, Mba Moses and Florence Moses for allegedly killing one Mark Kalu during a fight.

The police Spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, on Sunday, in Abeokuta, said the arrest followed a report received by Divisional Police headquarters in the Odeda area about the incident.

According to her, the deceased sustained injuries during a fight that occurred on October 8, 2023, at Osiele market.

“The altercation took place in the market square between the late Mark Kalu and a couple, Mba Moses, aged 50, and his wife, Florence Moses, aged 40, leading to the death of Kalu.

“Efforts were initially made by the Babaloja of Osiele and the Igbo Community Leader to mediate and find a peaceful resolution.

“However, the suspects have now been taken into custody to facilitate a preliminary investigation into the incident,” Odutola said.

She said that the corpse had been deposited at the Federal Medical Center in Idi Aba, Abeokuta for autopsy.
