The Ogun State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Barrister Segun Odubela said that the measure would enable the students move along with global trend and become computer literate right from their early education level.
Barrister Odubela stated this while performing the official inauguration, induction of members and swearing in ceremony of Computer Teachers Association (CTAN) of Ogun State Nigeria in Abeokuta.
Towards achieving this, the commissioner said the ministry will collaborate with CTAN members whenever the ministry decides to draw up curriculum, scheme of work and other assistance which the state government may require from the association.
Earlier in his speech, Chairman Board of Trustees of CTAN, Mr. Olusola Otesile, said the association was formed to invigorate professionalism among members and to ensure that the teaching of computer studies is taken seriously.
