The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) said it had, in one year, settled about 500 farmers-herders’ cases in Ogun State.
The state Commandant of NSCDC, Hammed Abodunrin, disclosed this on Monday in Abeokuta, while speaking during 2021 World Civil Defence Day.
He said the resolution of farmers and herders’ cases had created peaceful coexistence until “the spillover from another state wanted to rob Ogun State of its peaceful nature.”
He said NSCDC has also tackled oil thieves and vandals He urged Governor Dapo Abiodun to provide an additional boat for its marine unit.
