The governor made this disclosure during a tour of the area, assuring that work on the road to the farm village would start soon.
Amosun, while highlighting plans for the agrarian community said: “The best farm centre will be located here in Alagbagba and in two months from now, I will be campaigning here in Alagbagba and I promised you, all the people of Odeda, that in two weeks’ time, we will start work on the road from Olodo to Alagbagba.”
He explained that his administration has wanted to reconstruct the Ibadan/Abeokuta road to boost agricultural business, saying: “We planned to commence work on this road, but we were told that the federal government has commenced work on it. Here is it now, nothing is being done here.
“When we start the work, I promise you it will be stopped at Bakatari town (a border town with Oyo State). All our farmers, our companies in agric-based investments will be major beneficiaries as produce will reach consumers with little or no stress at all.”
The governor maintained that the some opposition politicians were envious of his achievements, hence, their resort to making allegations that he did nothing for the people of the local government area.
“But it is just a matter of time to see how we are going to transform Odeda back to the enviable agricultural hub that it was in years past,” he enthused.
