On billboards across the South East, all with the theme: “Aku Ruo Ulo”, Achonu wrote: “It is time to legislate on security. The South East cannot have education, industries, agriculture and hospitals without security.”
On investment, the pro-lgbo campaigner stated that, “The value of one investment is like an Iroko tree that shields many in a community. Let’s invest in Ala Igbo now.”
He called on the South East states of Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu and Imo to quickly commence collaboration on massive infrastructure development.
Commenting on the development in a statement issued in Enugu by its President General, Mazi Okwu Nnabuike, and Secretary General, Comrade Obinna Achionye, the Igbo youths stated that the easiest way to have an aggressive development of the zone was a collaborative effort among the five governors irrespective of party affiliation or political interest.
Commenting specifically on investment and infrastructure, the Igbo youths said senator Achonu was right as the people could not wait forever for the federal government to develop the zone.
