Anambra State Chapter of Ohaneze Ndigbo has disclosed plans to organize a one-day prayer for the state and nation on Sunday.
The state president of the organization, Chief Damian Okeke-Ogene, disclosed this yesterday during a courtesy visit to the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Anambra Broadcasting Service, Mr Uche Nworah in Awka, calling on Ndigbo to join in the interdenominational prayer scheduled for the Saint Patrick’s Cathedral, Awka, maintaining that peace was central in achieving the needs of the Igbo.
Acknowledging the role of the ABS in promoting peace and progress of the state, Okeke-Ogene reiterated the stand of the organization that violence could not restore the pride of the Igbo in the nation’s polity.
