The President of the Handball Federation of Nigeria (HFN), Mr. Jibril Saidu Ojih (FNIQS), paid a working visit to the President of the Confederation of Africa Handball (CAHB), Dr. Mansourou Aremou, in Cotonou, Benin Republic, yesterday.

The visit focused on key discussions aimed at advancing the development of handball in Nigeria.

During the meeting, Mr. Ojih expressed deep gratitude to the CAHB leadership for confirming the inclusion of Nigeria’s senior men’s national team in the 2026 African Cup of Nations.

“This inclusion means a lot to us and it’s certainly not about participation; but it’s about trust, recognition, and an opportunity for our players to once again prove their quality on the continental stage.” Ojih said.

The HFN President urges stronger collaboration, coach and referee development nationally.
