Captain of Ikeja Golf Club, Babatunde Ojo, has described the 2025 edition of the Ikeja Golf Corporate Challenge Cup as a resounding success.

Speaking during the prize presentation ceremony, Ojo highlighted that the tournament is an integral part of the club’s annual calendar, designed to foster competition among corporate entities while promoting the spirit of golf.

“It brings together different corporate entities where we compete. It also gives us the avenue to share in the spirit of playing the game of golf. This year’s edition has been quite interesting,” Ojo stated.

“We have a lot of new corporate entities who are participating for the first time and in total, I believe we have about 25 companies ranging from different sectors in the national economy.

The competition, which featured a 36-hole event, saw 25 corporate teams of four players each battling for top honors. Yusuf Adams emerged victorious in the Xpress Payment Solution category with a total score of 233, finishing ahead of Biodun Hassan, Oseni Jide, and Jimoh Ogundare.

Tournament convener and Competition Secretary of Ikeja Golf Club, Ejiro Ogomigo, emphasized the event’s diverse sectoral representation, with participants from industries such as construction, manufacturing, and consultancy.

“In this edition, we have billboards from first to third positions, which are quite expensive. So if you are paying to play in a tournament for a token, and then you get a billboard that costs 10 times the value that you have put in, I think it is a win-win position for those that have won the championship,” he added.
