The two-day reading to be hosted by Iqra Bookshop will have the Honourable Minister for Youth Development, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi as a Special Guest of Honour and will be chaired by Vice Chancellor, University of Ilorin, Professor Ishaq Oloyede.

Tenants of the House is Okediran’s fictionalised accounts of the goings-on in the Nigerian House of Representatives and the highly acclaimed novel had emerged the co-winner of the 2010 Wole Soyinka Prize for African Literature.

The reading will commence on Sunday February 26 at the Mandate Hall of Radio Kwara by 4pm and will continue the following day, Monday February 27 at 10am at the premises of Sapati International Secondary School where Okediran, former president of the Association of Nigerian Authors, will also interact with students and staff of ten different private schools in Ilorin and environs.

The Chief Host at the Monday event will be Chief Whitebread, Principal Sapati International Secondary School, Ilorin.

Other dignitaries expected at the event include the Dean, Faculty of Arts Unilorin, Prof Charles Bodunde, the Head of Department of the Unilorin Performing Arts Dept, Dr Babatunde, Prof . Ayo Akinwale, Members of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Members of ANA Kwara led by the Chairman, Uthman Akanbi.

Highlights of the event will also include, poetry readings, comedy performance and an interactive sessions and book signings by the author,
