Rapper Oladipupo Oladimeji, popularly known as Oladips, who was reported dead on November 11, held an Instagram live session with his fans on Thursday.
The rapper was said to have died after suffering from a health problem.
But there was a controversy about the reported death as some persons said it was a publicity stunt.
But on Thursday, the obituary post was taken down while a brand-new video was uploaded to Oladips Instagram profile.
Speaking with his fans during a live session on Instagram, the rapper promised to share reasons for the death hoax, adding that this would be as soon as he feels better.
“When I feel like I’m good enough to address everybody, I’ll come on live and tell you people my side of the story. Na wetin I con tell you people be that. Pray for Oladips.”
The development comes eight years after another singer, Skibii, made the headlines over death hoax.
But barely 24 hours after the singer was said to have slumped, his management, Five Star Music, released a statement saying that he only passed out for a few hours and had been revived.
Nigerians, especially those who sent condolence messages, had expressed shock over the drama.
