‘Ponkriyon’ crooner, Olamide and actress, Juliet Ibrahim are among Nigerian and Ghanaian artistes named Glo ambassadors.
The telecommunications has also signed on two other notable artistes on board the Globacom brand ambassadorial ship. They are the Egberi Papa 1 of Bayelsa and philosophical Dance Hall artiste, Inetimi Alfred Odon popularly known as Timaya and Ghanaian actress, Joselyn Dumas.
Announcing the new ambassadors in Lagos, Globacom, in a statement on Thursday said Olamide was made a Glo ambassador because of his success in the music industry and for being an inspiration to millions of Nigerian youths,
just like Timaya who is equally a model to youths, especially in the South-South part of Nigeria.
“The four ambassadors have been inducted into the exclusive Hall of Fame for Globacom’s brand icons. Prominent among those in the elite group are stand-up comedians Basketmouth and Bovi Ugboma; the trio of Marvin Records singers: Reekado Banks, Korede Bello, Hadizah Blell (Di’ja) and the diva of Nollywood, Patience Ozokwor popularly called
Mama G. others are Omawumi, Ego, Yvonne Nelson and MI,” the release said.
