Nigeria’s High Commissioner to Cameroon, Ambassador Abayomi Olonisakin, has expressed his confidence in the Super Eagles ability to win the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
The former Chief of Defence Staff in a brief chat said he was happy with the performances of the team so far in Cameroon.

“I am happy with the way the Super Eagles have performed so far. If they carry the zeal into other matches, they would come tops. Nigeria and Cameroon are brothers and next-door neighbours. The support that we desire from the Cameroonians has been remarkable from the first match against Egypt.
“Prior to that, we were in Garoua to sensitise the Nigerian Community on the need to come out and support the Super Eagles. The mandate for us is to win the AFCON title and we believe that the Super Eagles won’t disappoint us,” he said.
It will be recalled that prior to the first game against Egypt, the Federal Government delegation headed by the Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Ahmed Idris Wase was treated to a grand lunch.
As Nigeria cruised to victory in Garoua, Olonisakin promised to sustain the support for the Eagles and their supporters to ensure that Nigeria lifts the trophy at the end of the competition.
