The 44th Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Rasidi Ladoja, has finally arrived in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, barely six weeks after the demise of the late Olubadan, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin.
Ladoja, who was reportedly out of the country when the 43rd Olubadan joined his ancestors, returned to his family house at Isale-Osi in Ibadan South-West Local Government Area on Monday.
Upon his arrival at 1.20pm, the former governor headed straight to his family’s house, where he was received by family members and friends.

His family members organised a special interdenominational prayer after which he was expected to move to his Bodija residence later in the day.
Reports said Oba Ladoja is set for traditional rites necessary for his installation as the new Olubadan.
The Olubadan-in-Council had nominated him as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland at the Council meeting held at the new Olubadan Palace, Oke-Aremo, Ibadan, on Monday, August 4, 2025.
The Balogun of Ibadanland, Oba Tajudeen Ajibola, moved the motion and was seconded by Osi Olubadan, Oba Eddy Oyewole.
