Olukayode FC have emerged champions of the third edition of D’Royal Offseason Football Tournament (DOFT 2025) after a hard fought victory in the final played at the Akure Township Stadium.
Debutants Olukayode FC and Shine Football Academy demonstrated exceptional quality to reach the final, with the former displaying immense character to win 1-0 despite playing with ten men for over an hour.
According to the organisers, the football competition which is an annual event sponsored by Betja Foundation was a display of organizational excellence and thrilling football spectacle.
The Organisers said the tournament has quickly established itself as the premier offseason football event in Ondo State, as it has continued to grow in leaps and bounds.

At the end of the competition, the victorious team smiled home with the cash prize of N700,000, the runners-up Shine FC received N350,000 while the third placed team took home N150,000 for their effort.
Meanwhile, there were prizes for outstanding performances like the Most Valuable Player (MVP) who was rewarded with N100,000.
The prize for the MVP winner was sponsored H&B Global Sports, one of the partners of the tournament.
In a related development, sports administrators and football enthusiasts across the state showered encomiums on the organizer, Mr. Olaniboji Mathew (D’Royal), for his vision in establishing a professionally run competition.
One of the highlights of the colourful final was the breathtaking performances from Ageless Cheerleaders, J29 Cultural group and Huntar.
