The Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, has appealed to the federal government to recruit more police officers to strengthen the nation’s security architecture.

He made the appeal in Abuja during his visit to the chairman of the Police Service Commission (PSC), Hashimu Argungu, on Thursday.

Oluwo, according to a statement by his press secretary, Alli Ibrahim, noted that the appointment of capable individuals as service chiefs had enhanced security.

The monarch said administrative reforms of the Nigerian Police Force by Argungu had motivated many Nigerians to join the Force.
