The hotly contested final was heading towards a penalty shoot-out when one of the Oluyole forwards brought out the best in him by splitting open the tight defence of their opponent and laid a killer pass to Oje Abiodun, who buried the ball in the net to the admiration of his team’s fans.

All efforts made by the Irepo boys did not yield any positive result as their opponents tightened their defence with the goalkeeper saving many goal-bound shots in the last few minutes of the match.

The competition, which was organized by the Oyo State chapter of Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria (YSFON), is aimed at discovering talents from the grassroots.

The grand finale which took place at Ago Are football pitch, the home town of the Oyo State Commissioner for Sports, Ayoola Makanjuola, was witnessed by the Chairman 3SC, Joseph Ladipo, the royal father of the town, Oba Jubril Oyesiji, among others.
