A Yaba magistrates’ court has remanded a policeman, ASP Drambi Vandi, who shot and killed a pregnant Lagos-based lawyer, Mrs Omobolanle Raheem, on Christmas day.
The Magistrate, Mrs C. A. Adedayo, on Friday, ordered that the suspect be kept at the Ikoyi Correctional Centre till January 30, 2023, after a request by the state’s police command.
The state’s police spokesman, Benjamin Hundeyin, made the disclosure in a tweet, saying, “Drambi Vandi was this morning arraigned in court and has been remanded at the Ikoyi Correctional Centre till January 30, 2023, to give room for DPP’s advice.”
