John Omotunde, a Nigerian expert in data privacy and AI governance, has been conferred with the Fellow of Information Privacy (FIP) designation by the IAPP.

This recognition positions him among a select group of professionals worldwide who have demonstrated exceptional expertise in data privacy regulations and compliance program management.

The FIP designation is a globally recognized mark of excellence that acknowledges outstanding contributions to information privacy.

To attain this distinction, candidates must demonstrate extensive practical experience in managing data privacy regulations and compliance frameworks and earn at least two IAPP certifications.

Omotunde’s achievement is a testament to his expertise in advising multinational organizations on compliance with global privacy laws, cross-border data transfers, ethical AI use, and privacy-by-design principles.

According to IAPP Director of Certification Doug Forman, “The award symbolizes extraordinary achievement in the field,” adding, “It’s also a way to show appreciation for those whose work enriches the privacy field.”
