Jigawa State Governor Badaru Abubakar has a very cordial relationship with President Muhammadu Buhari and I believe that his appointment as chairman of the APC convention is an attestation to the fact that he has a good relationship with the government at the central. I therefore want to use this medium to appeal to Governor Badaru to lobby for the reconstruction of the Gaya-Jahun-Kafin-Hausa-Bauchi federal road.
This road links many states of the North-west and North-east geopolitical zones and it has been in bad shape for many years.
In fact it has become a death trap, with many people losing their lives almost on a daily basis. The road also leads to the town where the state university (Sule Lamido University Kafin-Hausa) is located. Furthermore, the road serves as a means of transporting farm produce and livestock from rural to urban areas.
The reconstruction of this road will save people from armed robbers who operate on that route. I urge the governor to look into this matter as it will in no small measure help to promote educational, economic, social and political activities in the state.
