The Nigeria’s Upper Chamber is at it again. The Senate’s decision this time around to come with a bill on equal share of inheritance between males and females is meant to test the waters and find out how deep they are.

This shows that some insensitive semi-demons have bloodily rigged their way to national assemblies to prove their satanic attitudes, practices and beliefs. Allah (SWT) will surely fulfill the light of his religion even if the unbelievers detest.

The attempt by the Senate goes contrary to provisions of Islam as regards the issue of inheritance between males and females which gave a higher percentage to male heir over his female counterpart. The Senate and any other people in the authority should treat with caution when dealing with issues that would touch the religious sensibilities of Nigerians. And any Muslim member of the senate who backed the attempt to change a divine law contained in the Quran was doing so at his own peril.

The Muslims should definitely come up and demonstrate in unmistakable terms their dissatisfaction with this obnoxious bill.

I could not bring myself to believe that such acrimonious bill can pass into law with such distinguished members such as Rabiu Kwankwaso, Ali Ndume, Ahmed Sani Yerima, Othman Hunkuyi and other absentee Muslim Senators.

Instead of engaging in watershed and developmental threshold bills that may revamp the economy and cushion the effects of our recessed economy they are trying to promote primordial issues that may prove counterproductive and destructive to the cooperate existence of the country. We will keep our fingers crossed and note with keen interest any senator that supports the bill. We enjoined other Nigerians of goodwill to fight this blatant and flagrant disrespect of our holy books with all our might irrespective of our creed and affiliations.
