To me it was a watershed and the echoes will continue to be heard. But we should not get carried away by the celebration of the day as one of the most important in the history of our democracy. There are equally important days which people hardly talk about. The 2003 election was fraught with so much fraud that we should also use it to mourn the democracy that never was.
