A member of Ondo state house assembly, representing Idanre state Constituency, Princess Oluwatosin Ogunlowo Ajitoru, has condemned call for suspension of the state chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Ade Adetimehin, by some members of the party in the state.
Ajitoru, who is the deputy majority leader in the state assembly, in a statement she personally signed and issued to newsmen on Sunday, said it is expected of all party members to embrace peace and tranquility other than embarking on political funded suspension of the APC state chairman by some mischief makers.
She said the recent intra political crisis within the party especially in her constituency is a worrisome scenario that has displaced every party members uprightness and peaceful approach to crisis, saying “even as we still celebrate the victory we all worked for.”
She noted that after the affirmed victory of the party during the just concluded governorship election in the state, it is worthy of note to trace such unprecedented and resounding political event to the collective effort and unhindered peace among members of the APC across the 18 local government area of the state.
She said any move to suspend the state party chairman will definitely pose a threat to the members unity and other factors knowingly considered as tonic to also its members resounding victory in the last election.
She, therefore, appealed to the party stakeholders, especially from Idanre local government area to sheath their sword and support the re elected governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa in his readiness to serve the good people of the state.
“Besides, the vision of our dear governor, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, is obviously coined towards equality among party members and the even distribution of dividends with so much crystal clear forbearance and tenderness,”she said.
She also implored all party members to condemn suspension move and remain resolute in their determination to enhance the popularity and credence of the party under the leadership of the state governor, Dr Lucky Aiyedatiwa and state chairnan, Engr. Ade Adetimehin.
