According to Mike Idoko, team manager Sunshine FC, “We are going to partner with notable clubs in Europe to help us organize and develop the academy. The academy will be the best ever in the country.”

According to Idoko, the students of the academy would be made up of 60 per cent indigenous players, while 40 per cent will come from outside.

Speaking further, Idoko said the state has been divided into six zones and that a team manager has been appointed to man each of them.
