Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has hinted at his plans to reshuffle the State Executive Council (SEC).

Aiyedatiwa, who succeeded the late former governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, who died of protracted prostate cancer, disclosed the plans to reshuffle the cabinet on Monday.

The governor, who spoke through his Chief Press Secretary, Ebenezer Adeniyan, on a radio programme in Akure monitored by Daily Trust, said he had started working on putting a ‘good team’ together, stressing that they would be announced when the time was ripe.

“Mr governor will take his time to put his team together. He will not rush to do anything. He has a team that is already working to put the right team together.

“He is meeting with stakeholders. And I can assure you that when the time is ripe, he will put the right team together,” he said.

Daily Trust reports that the plan to reshuffle the cabinet came after the death of former Governor Akeredolu in December last year.

Aiyedatiwa, who took over power after Akeredolu’s death, had been facing intense pressure to rejig the cabinet members ahead of the polls scheduled for November 16 by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
