Ondo State Commissioner of Police, Bolaji Salami has appealed to officers and men of the Nigeria Police Force serving in Ondo State to return fully to their duty post so that the death of policemen in the hand of criminals during the #ENDSARS would not be in vain.
The CP also said, “if we stay away from our core mandate, it shows that the death of our colleagues in the hands of those criminals during the EndSARS saga would be in vain”.
The police boss appealed to the officers and men of the Command to remain loyal and committed to their primary assignment of protecting lives and property.
“The event of #EndSARS and its effect on the Command should be put behind us, knowing that it is one of the hazards we must go through to protect the state and its citizens.
“It is abundantly clear that those criminals who hijacked the peaceful EndSARS protest were afraid of their myopic little world of crime and our tenacity at confronting them; and so, decided to work under the umbrella of a peaceful protest to lash out their vengeance on the police, but this should not deter our effort at providing quality security to the public space,” he urged.
