Ondo promotes 7,075 public servants

The Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu, has approved the immediate promotion of 7,075 public servants in the Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) in the state.

The Chairman of the state Civil Service Commission (CSC), Dr. Afolabi Adewakun, who disclosed this during a press briefing in Akure, the Ondo state capital, said the promotion exercise was part of the current administration’s initiative to encourage and motivate workers.

Dr. Adewakun said 1,742 core civil servants benefitted from the promotion, while 5,333 workers from  government parastatals were also promoted.

Adewakun, who said the promotion was with immediate effect, disclosed that, “I am sure that by now most of the workers must have received their letters of promotion.”

He commended the Akeredolu-led administration for giving priority to the welfare of the workers.
