Police in Katsina have launched a manhunt for five armed robbers over the killing of one Saidu Abdullahi, 45, and injuring another Bello Hamza, 40. 

Mohammed Bello alias Kiri Gorare na Mushoda ‘m’ aged 25yrs of Bicci, Malamawa village, Danmusa LGA, Katsina is in custody and has since confessed to being among the team that carried out the attack. 

DSP Gambo Isah said the gang had blocked Hawan Dan Maigyada along Yantumaki – Kankara Highway, Danmusa LGA, Katsina state last month were they carried the attack. 

Upon interrogation, he said, the suspect  confessed to the crime and mentioned Haron Anchau, Mushoda,  Bicci Bakin Ranji,  Gabudeji Namushoda, of Bicci Bakin Lamba,  Dikko, of Garhi Dutsinma and Ali Iraqi,  of Mazoji Matazu LGA Katsina as his cohorts. 

He said detectives are working round the clock to ensure discreet and thorough investigations of all suspects as Efforts are also being intensified to recover their operational arms.
