Emergency responders on Saturday night recovered one dead body from the rubbles of a three-storey building which collapsed on Akanbi Crescent, Yaba, Lagos.
Three construction workers were said to have been trapped under the collapsed building while two others were rescued alive.

Those trapped were mainly bricklayers and labourers. A hawker who had gone to sell food to the workers was also among those trapped.
It was gathered that a section of the building which was still under construction collapsed onto another building beside it.
Eye witnesses said yesterday’s incident occurred around noon when most of the workers were working.
The Public Relations Officer of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), in the Shouth-West Region, Ibrahim Farinloye, confirmed the incident.
Rescue operations were still ongoing as of late last night.
