A tanker exploded in Ogun State on Sunday, killing one person and injuring another along Sagamu/Ijebu-Ode expressway.
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) spokeswoman, Florence Okpe said the accident involved the tanker and two men.
“The crash involved a tanker with no registration number on it. Two persons were involved – all male adults.
“One person was injured and the second person killed,” she said.

According to Okpe, the injured victim had been taken away by “a good Samaritan” before the arrival of FRSC operatives.
“The suspected cause of the lone crash was mechanical deficiency (electrical fault), which resulted in a fire outbreak,” she added.
She quoted the Sector Commander, Umar Ahmed, to have sympathised with the families of the accident victims while advising motorists to always carry out vehicle routine checks for safety purposes.
