A truck conveying humans and animals on Wednesday crashed along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, killing one person.
The truck crashed around Sandcrate to Fidiwo at about 6am.
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) confirmed that 15 male adults were involved in the crash.
“Seven persons were injured and one person was recorded dead from the lone crash,” the FRSC spokesman, Florence Okpe, confirmed.

Okpe said, “One vehicle was involved with no registration number on it, a Daf truck conveying both passengers and animals.”
Okpe blamed the lone crash on a tyre burst while speeding, which she said led to the loss of control.
She said the injured victims had been taken to Victory Hospital, Ogere for medical attention.
