One person was said to have been trapped following the collapse of an uncompleted three-storey building in Lagos.
The incident happened on Friday morning at number 12, Alasepe Street, off Community road, Ago Palace Way, Okota.
It was the first incident of collapsed building in 2020.
Emergency response coordinated by the state Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) is still ongoing as of the time of filing this report.
Preliminary report from the scene revealed that the collapsed building was nearing completion when the incident happened while the impact of the collapse has affected the adjacent structure.
Director-General of LASEMA, Dr. Olufemi Oke-Osanyitolu who confirmed the incident said the agency is on top of the situation, saying the extrication and recovery of the trapped man “is ongoing using all Emergency Light Tools at our disposal.”
