The competition had participants including male students from various faculties of the school. The male students were not left out of the adventure as they also decked out to challenge their female counterparts in the contest.
Before the commencement of the competition, each of the participants was given N7,000 for the purchase of ingredients and other recipes needed for the preparation of their meals.  
As part of the tradition of the contest, the participants went through a balloting system, which eventually assigned them with their respective meals.
They were all accompanied by company’s agents to ensure a transparent process and stress free exercise.
On returning to the stage for the actual commencement of the programme, the panel of judges comprising the company officials allotted 30 minutes for the whole preparation as the teeming audience hailed the participants in admiration.  
At the end of the day, the competition saw Fatomi Esther, a student of food science as overall winner of the competition.  
Abdulrafiu Okiri-Sofiri, a 400 Level Law student, bagged the second position, while Imran Balikis clinched the third position.  
The first prize winner was presented with a deep freezer, while the second and third runners up went home with a gas cooker each.  
The contest was held at the Students’ Union building of the university.
