According to the former FIFA technical committee member who lead the country to the 2002 edition of the global football showpiece in South Korea and Japan pointed out that the Eagles crashed out because they lacked cohesion and lack of a functional football technical department in the country.
“In that match, France were not a fantastic team as they were being touted. We came out spiritedly in the first half but we were overwhelmed in the second half,” Onigbinde told Punch.
“I agree with the view that France were not a very fantastic side. With cohesion we would have won the match.
