An expert in Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and also managing partner of Quateq Technology Services Limited, Dr. Fidelis Ndeh-Che, said records have shown that only students from private secondary schools in Kano State take ICT examination during the Senior Secondary School Examination (SSCE).
He made the revelation at a round-table on the optional use of ICT to support secondary school education system in Northern Nigeria, especially in Kano and Jigawa states, organized by Development Research and Project Center (DRPC) held in Kano.
 According to Dr. Ndeh-Che, it is indeed worrisome to find out that a lot of students in public schools were being denied ICT knowledge.
